2008 FLTR

May 2011 Denver, Colorado to Washington D.C. Rode to St Louis, MO. with a friend where we parted in two different directions. From there it was on to D.C. to stake out a camp site for the next five days. Heat and humidity were taking it's toll. After attending Rolling Thunder XXIV and riding in the parade down Constitution Ave with Sarah Palin, who knew? From there it was off to GA to meet up with a riding buddy and do the Cherohala Skyway and The Dragons Tail. His new bike broke down again on the way to N.C. and was in the shop for the past three weeks for repair. It was suppose to be ready the day after I arrived but another unforseen issue arose and the bike would not be ready for another week. So I bid him good luck and headed back out on the highway for a visit to the Harley Factory in Kansas City, MO. It was pleasure to leave the heat and humidity behind. The Cherohala Skyway and Dragons Tail would have to wait. As it turned out my friend was informed the following week that his new bike would now require a new engine and transmission along with an additional delay of three to six weeks. He has now flown home. Hopefully we'll be able to ride to Sturgis this year. Overall it was a good ride and I met some good people along the way. And as always you just cannot beat that southern hospitality.
2008 FLTR

Alas the Road Glide is no more.

2012 FLTRU

June 2018 Denver, Colorado to Wichita, KS for the Annual 'BAD Bobs BBQ', an event supporting cancer victims & survivors which was well received. First Road Trip with the Road Glide Ultra since being converted to a Trike. The ride out was rough. Of course the weather had to be 101 deg no less, along with a strong side wind for the next 7 hours. Riding with a heavy side wind is a none issue with two wheels. Just lean into it and ride at a slight angle. Not so with a trike. You need to steer into it and it takes an lot of effort to maintain that position for 7 hours. The trip back was the same except the temperature was now 90 deg. However by the time I rode up to my garage it was 45 deg and raining. No wind the last hour an a half was a nice touch.
2012 FLTRU Roadsmith Trike

July 2018 Denver to Sturgis,SD., with my newly acquired enclosed trailer. With my back issues, setting up a tent is no longer an option. This trailer now has items installed that make it much easier for me to attend MC events along with some side camping trips during the summer with the Trike. Fifteen minutes after arrival I am set up and ready to ride. Getting old is not for the weak.
2012 FLTRU Roadsmith Trike

June 2019 Denver, Colorado to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Trailered to SD and parked both. I unloaded the Trike and my small MC Trailer and headed West to Cody WY, via US 14/14a. From there I met up with a friend and his daughter. Off on our Trikes to head on to Butte, MT for the night and meet up with another friend. Next morning we'll be off to Saint Mary at Glacier, N.P. Next Morning off to Canada and into Alaska. Toured Alaska from Top to Bottom and back to Canada towards the USA. After arriving at the campground at Sturgis it was off to pick up the truck & trailer. I made this trip in 2004 on a 2002 Low Rider and now 15 years later doing it again on the Trike. May do it once again soon.
2012 FLTRU Roadsmith Trike
