Silver Lake. Where I spent the
night before heading up to
Mt. Saint Helens. |
Although I didn't see any Bears,
I did come across their path. |
A new friend I met while visiting
Mt. Saint Helens. |
Trees scattered along the mountainside. |
All that's left after being hit
with a 700 mph wind and stone blast. |
A river of mud and debris is all
that's left in this valley. |
In some areas the land underneath
the mud was three to six hundred feet deep. |
Dirt and stone deposited by the
aftermath of the Mt. Saint Helens erruption. |
.
|
Nothing left but large deposits
of dirt and the remains of what once was a lush forest |
|
Everywhere you look, there is dirt and stone.
The forest has disappeared. |
|
A gaping hole on the side of Mt.
Saint Helens. |
